Frequently asked questions
Does it change numbers or punctuation?
No. Only letters have a case; digits, punctuation, spaces and line breaks are left exactly where they were in the original text.
Why did the German ß become SS?
Unicode defines the uppercase of ß as SS, which is what JavaScript produces. Some locales use the capital ẞ instead.
Can I convert to Title Case?
Not on this page. Lowercase the text first, then capitalise the first letter of each word in your editor, or use a word processor for title case.
Is there a size limit?
No practical one. Even very long documents convert instantly because the work happens on your own device.
