ROT13 Transform
Apply the ROT13 substitution to your text. Running it twice restores the original, so the same tool encodes and decodes.

What this tool gives you
Self-inverse
The same operation encodes and decodes; just run the output through again.
ROT18 and ROT47
Variants that also shift digits, or every printable ASCII character.
Local only
No server involved, which is fitting for a cipher meant to be trivial.
Frequently asked questions
Is ROT13 encryption?
No. It hides text from a casual glance, like spoilers in a forum post, but anyone can reverse it instantly. Never use it to protect secrets.
What does ROT18 change?
Letters are shifted by 13 as in ROT13 and digits are shifted by 5, so 0 becomes 5 and 7 becomes 2. It is still self-inverse.
What is ROT47?
It rotates all 94 printable ASCII characters by 47 positions, covering punctuation and digits as well, which makes the output look more scrambled.
Are accented characters affected?
No. Only the 26 basic Latin letters (and digits or ASCII symbols in the variants) are rotated; everything else passes through unchanged.
