About this tool
An IP address lookup resolves a bare number into something useful: the country and city it is registered in, the Internet Service Provider that operates it, the autonomous system (ASN) it belongs to and the hostname assigned through reverse DNS. This page goes a step further and adds reputation data, telling you whether the address is a known open proxy, a commercial VPN exit, a Tor relay or a server in a hosting data centre, and how many public blacklists currently detect the submitted IP address.
That combination is what makes the tool useful for day-to-day work: filtering suspicious sign-ups, investigating log entries, verifying that a crawler really belongs to a search engine, or deciding whether a sender deserves a place on your allow list. Results come from the APIVoid IP Reputation API, which aggregates more than eighty blacklist engines and maintains its geolocation and ASN data up-to-date.

Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the location?
IP geolocation identifies the network, not the device. Country is reliable, city is an estimate based on where the operator registered the address block.
What does the risk score mean?
A number from 0 to 100 that combines blacklist detections and anonymity signals. Values above 70 usually indicate spam, abuse or anonymisation infrastructure.
Why is my own IP flagged as hosting?
If you browse through a VPN or a cloud-hosted proxy, the exit address belongs to a data centre, so the hosting flag is correct even if you are a regular user.
Does the lookup support IPv6?
Yes. Paste any public IPv6 address, with or without square brackets, and the same geolocation, ASN and reputation data is returned.
Do you store the addresses I look up?
Lookups are not written to any database. A short-lived cache keeps identical results for a few minutes to reduce repeated upstream queries.
