Frequently asked questions

Why is a domain without http:// not found?

The extractor looks for URLs with a scheme to avoid false positives like file names. Prefix bare domains with http:// if you need them included.

How is the root domain determined?

The last two labels, or three when the second-level label is a common suffix such as co or com (example.co.uk). It is a heuristic, not a full public suffix list.

Does it keep query strings?

Yes, in the URL list. Hostnames and root domains naturally drop paths and parameters.

Can I check if the domains are malicious?

Copy the hostnames into the Bulk URL Status Checker, or use the APIVoid Domain Reputation API for blacklist data.
